Dr. Elizabeth Raymond is enthusiastically committed to helping people become the best version of themselves they can be. She has worked as a clinical psychologist for over a decade in forensic, private, inpatient, and outpatient settings, with the objective of empowering people to overcome the obstacles that prevent them from living their lives to their full potential.
Dr. Raymond earned a B.A. of Psychology from the University of Georgia and subsequently earned her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming.
After graduating, Dr. Raymond first worked at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute as a forensic psychologist and later worked in private practice before accepting a position at the prestigious Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City.
At Bellevue, Dr. Raymond worked as an inpatient psychologist for several years before transferring to the World Trade Center clinic, which specializes in helping people impacted by 9/11 recover from trauma. She has applied her extensive experience helping her clients address psychological issues of depression, anxiety, and interpersonal problems that arise in relationships, workplaces, and educational institutions.
Dr. Raymond believes that there are biological, psychological, and social components to every problem which brings people to therapy. She also strongly believes that clients deserve a safe and respectful space, regardless of sex, race, sexual/gender identity, income, and physical barriers. Dr. Raymond is trained as a Cognitive-Behavioral clinician and believes that how her patients think about problems influences how they feel and how they choose to address their problems. She also has specific training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychological Assessments.
